History

 Throughout the history of the company, NicheVision has developed innovative solutions to assist analysts in the ever-changing field of DNA interpretation.

NicheVision Forensics, LLC was founded in 2007. Since NicheVision’s finding, our team has been committed to creating software solutions to meet DNA analysis needs for laboratories and researchers.

2018
NicheVision released MixtureAce™, a non-alignment based vendor agnostic DNA typing tool for Massively Parallel Sequencing (MPS), along with ancillary tools, to bring MPS capabilities to forensic lab worldwide.

2017
NicheVision, in collaboration with Syracuse University, released PACE™ software, the preeminent tool for forensic labs, which uses artificial intelligence to accurately and quickly determine the number of contributors in a forensic mixture.

2015
NicheVision released DNAXpress a stand-alone feature-rich DNA LIMS system.

Additionally, NicheVision, along with the United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, received the Federal Laboratory Consortium’s (FLC) “Excellence in Technology Transfer” award for the outstanding commercial success of ArmedXpert™. ArmedXpert™ currently has more than 50 installations worldwide, including the United States, Mexico, Europe and Africa.

2014
The Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR) awarded NicheVision exclusive distribution rights in North and South America to STRmix™. STRmix™ is a fully continuous mixture deconvolution tool for forensic scientists.

STRmix™ has become the preeminent software used in the US and Canada for mixture deconvolution of forensic mixtures, as well as several South and Central American markets.

2012
NicheVision developed a cloud-based proficiency testing portal for an international lab testing provider.
The portal is currently in daily use by over 10,000 analysts worldwide to electronically submit and monitor test results. NicheVision hosts and actively manages this cloud-based portal.

2010
NicheVision was awarded by the United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) exclusive distribution rights to ArmedXpert™, a full case DNA management tool using a binary approach for mixture deconvolution.

2007
NicheVision launches world’s first automated scanner for forensic slides.
